地球によく似たある惑星での群像劇
この惑星はAIに統治され、人口のバランスが偏らないようコントロールされていた
人口をコントロールする中枢機関である人類調整局のベテラン澤井が若手の中谷とコンビを組むことになる
最初は嫌々一緒に仕事をするが徐々にお互いを信頼していく
一方、平穏な生活を送っていた高瀬マリは研究対象者となるが、アクシデントから記憶を無くして行方不明となってしまう
仲違いしていた娘レナがどうにか助けて欲しいと人類調整局員たちに懇願し、マリをなんとか助けようと奮闘する
果たしてある作戦はうまくいくのか・・・

Sawai, an expert from the Human Bureau, which is the central agency that controls population, teams up with the newbie Nakatani.

At first, they work together reluctantly, but gradually come to trust each other.

Meanwhile, Mari Takase, who was living a peaceful life, becomes a research subject. 

But an accident causes her to lose her memory and she goes missing.

Mari's daughter, Lena, pleads with the Human Bureau members to somehow help her.

They struggle to save Mari.
